MAXSWIRL Hydrocyclone Array

Description:

The hydrocyclone is an axial flow centrifugal separator for liquid-liquid separation, typically used in produced water treatment and oil-water separation. Unlike traditional tangential inlet hydrocyclones, the axial flow design generates swirl in the same direction as process flow using a static swirl element. The resulting centrifugal forces push the heavier water phase outward while the lighter oil phase is forced inward, forming an oil core that reverses direction and exits through a small channel on the reject side. The main water stream exits at the water outlet nozzle, with a flow control valve maintaining proper hydraulic balance. Typically fabricated in duplex stainless steel. TrayTec supplies and installs hydrocyclone assemblies to your vessel geometry and separation requirements.
