Liquid distributors ensure uniform liquid distribution across the full cross-section of a packed bed, as critical to column performance as the packing itself. Without proper distribution, packing capacity and efficiency cannot be achieved regardless of packing quality or bed depth. Orifice riser distributors are the standard for higher liquid rate services such as absorption. Narrow trough distributors are selected for critical fractionation and vacuum distillation requiring maximum distribution points at low liquid rates. Standard trough distributors handle high liquid rates and fouling services. Spray nozzle distributors serve heat transfer applications.
