Structured Packing

Description:

Structured packing is a family of corrugated internals engineered to maximize vapor-liquid contact surface area at lower pressure drop than trays or random packing. Four types cover the full range of process applications. Gauze is specified for deep vacuum and low liquid rate services where minimizing pressure drop per theoretical stage is critical. Knitted provides high mass transfer efficiency for small-diameter columns.

Sheet metal handles the widest range of vapor and liquid rates, with high-capacity corrugation geometry increasing column capacity 20 to 30% over standard packing. Grid is specified for fouling services including FCC fractionator pumparound zones, crude vacuum wash sections, and quench columns. TrayTec supplies and installs all four types to your column specification.
