SuperBlend 2-Pac packing is a patented random packing technology combining two different sizes of high-performance Saddle Ring packing in the same bed. The smaller packing fills the interstitial voids within the larger, creating more effective surface area without sacrificing capacity. This third-generation solution can increase column efficiency by 25% or column capacity by 15% over single-size packing beds.
SuperBlend achieves the capacity and pressure drop of the larger packing size, coupled with the efficiency of the smaller. Applications include absorption, stripping, fine chemical distillation, refinery fractionators, and retrofit projects where performance must improve without vessel modification. Yes. Retrofit is one of the primary applications for SuperBlend 2-Pac.
